1.EL DELTA
Today on G&J, our travel agency, we are going to suggest you a packet holiday for a good place to go. It is a perfect place to visit at any age. For example, teenagers. This place is el Delta de l’Ebre. It is located in El Montsià, a region in the province of Tarragona. It is located at the south of Catalonia, bordering with Valencia, that’s why people who live in here have a different accent and some different words. The location is one of the reasons why the weather is so good, the typical Mediterranean climate.
2.WHEN TO COME
The best time of the year to come is in summer, because the rice has grown and the fields are beautiful. Also it is very hot in summer and you can go to the beautiful beaches of el Delta. You should bring some things with you, like sun cream (otherwise you would get burned), swimming dresses, flip-flops and a towel for the beach. You can stay at many places at el Delta, but we personally recommend you to go to a hotel that’s called <Hotel la Ràpita>, and it is situated at Sant Carles de la Ràpita. It is a four stars hotel that is perfect is you are travelling with a big group of people. There is a big swimming pool and the hotel includes all meals and room service. It is located next to the harbor and the town so you can go to the supermarket or take a walk on the town.
4. FOOD
If you come to el Delta you sure will enjoy the food. It’s the typical food from the zone, Catalonia and Valencia. There are some plates that are specific from the zone, like fish and rice. Here it is full of fields of rice because the weather conditions are perfect. They make delicious paellas.
5.WEATHER
In el Delta the climate is Mediterranean, with moderated temperatures and high humidity, with scarce rainfall. The most characteristic phenomenon of this territory is the wind, which is usually persistent and often intense. The most common is from the north and northwest, the latter with low moisture content and known by the name of "wind up". 7.FLORA AND FAUNA
There are different types of ecosystems. One of the flora ecosystem and most extended in Delta is called lagoons. Lagoon of l’Encanyissada is connected with “badía dels Alfacs” due to a little natural river. The amount of vegetation next the lagoon is called sosa; people can confused with moss because they have the same texture and view. Delta de L’ebre has also citrus trees which his principal’s fruits are orange, lemon and mandarin
The fauna is also related with the vegetation and the weather. The humidity of Delta is perfect for fishes, zooplactons and birds. We have a little video on the principal page of the blog explaining different types and the most common birds.
